An email was sent to Callonwood neighbors on August 22, 2024: Dear Callonwood Community, The Town of Indian Trail is currently developing its first Transportation Master Plan, with a focus on identifying and addressing key intersections of concern. Three intersections have been identified for improvement based on input from both the consultant's intersection screening and public feedback gathered earlier this year. The Town is now seeking additional resident input on these proposed intersection improvements, as well as on proposed amendments to the CRTPO’s Comprehensive Transportation Plan. An email was sent to Callonwood neighbors on August 22, 2024: Dear Callonwood Community, We have recently noticed an infestation of armyworms in the area and have begun treatment in the affected spots (common open space along Revelwood, Clubhouse next to traffic circle, and Woodkirk/Aringill common open space). Armyworms, which resemble caterpillars, are approximately 2 inches long and can be green, black, or brown in color. Ripple Fiber (formerly "Openfiber") has provided an updated status for our neighborhood: Exciting News as Ripple Fiber will be starting and completing construction in the remaining/final phase of the Callonwood neighborhood. This would be the area off the entrance of Chestnut Lane. Ripple Fiber will begin this mainline construction starting Monday June 3rd and will take approximately 2- 3 weeks. The GO LIVE date for Callonwood and your neighboring communities Chestnut Oaks and Brookhaven are projected for activating services in the early 3rd quarter starting within July and August. The North Carolina Department Of Transportation (NCDOT) has announced that Blythe Construction has been awarded the Potter Road Pleasant Plains Road Intersection Improvement Project (P3) and construction will begin on June 17, 2024.
